Sailaja Nukala is the Founder of Indic Roots.Being an Engineer and from a family of Engineers, disinterested in the corporate field, she found her passion in Agriculture and the Organic way of producing food. An enthusiast of culture,Tradition and food, she started doing her own research in organic and natural foods.
“When organic food prices are soaring high and farmers are being paid less ,that is where we decided to connect genuine natural and organic farmers to consumers. We as a community work with Small and marginal scale farmers who produce food in a more ethical way by not using any chemicals and pesticides. We have strongly built and supported our farmers network by integrating farming,farmers and consumers. In this integration the farmer is getting fair and right price for the produce he grows and the consumer will be getting genuine natural and organic produce. We are trying to build a Farmer-consumer community encouraging more consumers to benefit by buying and consuming natural and organic food which in turn motivates our farmers to grow food without using any chemicals and pesticides”.
