Acacia Catechu , Khair - 120 Seeds

Acacia catechu also as cutch tree is a tree moderate in size, deciduous in nature and can grow up to a height of maximum 15 meters and can sometimes have a light feathery crown.

Cutch tree is commonly found in India in the mixed forests but as a small tree with a height of only up to 3 meters.

The bark has narrow strips, is grayish brown in color and dark. The flowers can measure in length in about 2.5 to 3 mm, have a pale yellow appearance or sometimes whitish color. The appearance is in form of cylindrical spikes.

The seeds of acacia catechu are dark brown and flat with a diameter of about 5-8 mm.

The seeds are edible in nature and its heartwood extract is used in a 'paan' a tradional indian eatable.

Acacia catechu also has many medicinal properties as mentioned in ayurveda.
