Action of Ingredients in BHP Vasacodin

Justica ad: Highly efficacious medicine for acute catarrhal conditions of the respiratory tract, suffocative  attacks with obstruction of respiration.  

Senega: Bronchial catarrh, with sore chest walls   

Rumex : Dry, spasmodic cough, like beginning of whooping-cough, cough provoked by change from cold to warm or warm to cold. Burning, shooting pain in right chest. 

Spongia:  Great dryness of all air-passages, Cough, dry, barking, croupy; larynx sensitive to touch. Chest weak; can scarcely talk.    

Hyoscyamus Nig: Cough, dry, nocturnal, spasmodic after lying down and better by sitting indicates Hyoscyamus. 

Antim Tart:  Cough followed, by vomiting or sleep. Coughing and gasping consecutively. Cough excited by eating, with pain in chest and larynx. Coarse, rattling with wet sounding cough, but scanty, difficult expectoration, unable to get it out.  

Dosage of BHP Vasacodin

Adults: 2 teaspoonful 3 or 4 times a day. 

Children: Half the adult dose.
