Pongal
Ingredients: Little millet (sama), Wheat rava, Oats, Green gram (moong dal), Pepper, Cumin seeds, Asafoetida, Salt.
Direction of use:1. For one measure of pongal mix, add 3 measures of water and stir without lumps; mix the ingredients well and close it with a lid. 2. Pressure cook for 5 whistles. After removing, add required ghee, curry leaves and roasted cashew for taste.
Upma
Ingedients: Barnyard millet (Kuthiraivali), Green gram (moong dal), Black gram (urad dal), Cumin seeds, Pepper, Red Chilly, Mustard seeds, Salt.
Direction of Use: 1: With every 1 measure of ammae millet upma mix add 3 measure of water and add 2 spoons of oil. 2: mix the ingredients well close the lid of the container. 3: pressure cook for 5 whistles. After removing, add fresh coconut grating and curry leaves for taste.
Idly
Ingredients: Kodo Millet (varagu), Black gram dal (urad dal), Cumin seeds, Pepper, Dry ginger, Asafoetida powder, Fenugreek, Salt.
Direction of use: 1. To one measure of Idly mix add one measure of water and one measure of soar curd. Mix thoroughly to form an Idly batter. Wait for 20 min. 3. Grease the idly plate with oil and pour the batter. Steam it in a pressure cooker for 20 minutes and allow the pressure to release.
4. Allow plates with Idly to cool for a minute, use a wet spoon to remove the idly from the mold to serve hot.
