Uses:
Ajwain | Thymol, the essential oil obtained from ajwain has local anesthetic, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. |
Asafoetida | it is an antiepileptic, antimicrobial, laxative, anti-inflammatory, expectorant, antispasmodic, and anti-flatulent agent. |
Yavkshar | It is used in the management of difficulty in urination and urinary calculi. It is also used in bloating, abdominal pain, ascites. |
Saindhav lavan | It improves digestion strength. It acts as an aphrodisiac. |
Sorverchal lavan | It is useful in abdominal tumors, bloating and also useful in abdominal colic. |
Samudra lavan | A sore throat, which can be due to many reasons like the common cold, dry air, excessive shouting or throat infection, can be managed with common salt. |
Shunthi | This extremely beneficial herb is used to relieve patients suffering from dyspepsia, flatulence, vomiting, spasms, colic and other stomach problems. |
Pippali | It improves digestion strength, anti-aging, rejuvenating property. |
Chitrak | Chitrak is used in management of intestinal troubles, dysentery, leucoderma, inflammation, piles, bronchitis, itching, diseases of the liver, and consumption. |
Marich | It is used in Flatulence, indigestion, dysentery, skin disorders, disorders of the liver, oliguria, common cold, cough, asthma, toothache, dental caries, night blindness, eye diseases, etc. |
Chavya | It is useful in management of disorders of Vata Dosha imbalance such as neuralgia, paralysis, constipation, bloating, etc |
Chitrakadi Vati Indication:
constipation, oliguria, etc.
Chitrakadi Vati Side Effect – There is no side effect, but It might not be suitable for people with gastritis. People with high BP should take this medicine only under medical care since this medicine contains salt as an ingredient. Over-dosage may cause a slight burning sensation in the abdomen.
Dosage:
1 to 2 tablets to be taken twice in a day with water or as directed by the physician.
